Citizens Report posted a video about a video from CNN in which Dr. Sanjay Gupta said men could be given a male contraception injection. Watch the video at http://citizensreport.org/2009/05/07/whos-man-enough-for-male-birth-control/

What do you think about the a male birth contraol? Is it about time? A little werid? Or out of the question?

100%! For centuries, birth control has so often been the responsibility of the woman and in many cases it has resulted in unwanted pregnancies, unsafe abortions, single mothers etc. which all watershed into other larger issues like hospital/school over crowding, insuficient healthcare and a myriad of other issues. If there is a safe birth control option for men, I definitely think men should step up and take some responsiblity in preventing unwanted pregnancies.

it's high time men are held accountable for pregnancies, std's, etc. so yes, i fully support a male contraceptive.

    1) it will encourage male infidelity haha. 2) man boobs...problem is always lurking 3) if the pill isn't depressing our women then who will? 4) the hormonal version may need to be cut with progesterone. see # 2&3 from above. 4) by the time it hits the market i will be driving all my kids around in my own school bus! maybe some funding for the version that makes the tail not work. that would be the bomb as long as unwanted preg were not affected. women pill gives them younger skin thru 40's. not a bad thing...consider it spf 50 in a pill

I am shocked by the two reponses. How do we know that ALL men don't take reponsibility for pregnancies? Yes single mothers probably outweigh single fathers 4-1 but there are many other variables as to why there are single mothers AND fathers.

I would support male birth control simply to make sex safer but not because men are the bane of women's existence. Not all men are Shawn Kemp's
