I have been a at&t customer since 2008 but I only had a simple clear phone line and Internet separate accounts because I wanted my phone to be a landline. On October 2010 I decided to add the U-VERSE TV package U200 that they have in special $20 off for 6 months, 3 months of cinemax and HBO for 3 months, no activation fee and installation fee waive. When the technician visited my place he wanted to connect my phone in the U-verse account some kind of new technology where you get to see in your TV who is calling you. I told him not to connect my phone into that system that I wanted to keep my phone as it was. Technician did not connected my phone to the TV receiver and I Called customer service to make them aware that I wanted to keep my phone as a landline separate account and simple line no caller ID OR ANY OF THAT $20 line + tax as it has been since 2008, She told me not to worry. 3 days later my phone is ringing in my TV and I cannot answered because my phone was never connected to the receiver. I called again and they told me that they will fixed it i spend 2 hours to have that done. 4 days later my phone was still ringing on my TV and I called again this time I told them to disconnect my phone since they could not get things right. A week later while a was at work my sister called to let me know that a technician from ATT showed up and fixed the phone. I was mad because I had ask to disconnect service and I knew I will get charged for the technician. I called and they told me that there was no charge for the connection of my phone but I told her that they had added a package of caller ID, long distance, 3-way caller and much more to my simple line I told her that I was done with the mess and for her to disconnect my phone. On November 11/04 I paid my last phone bill of $27 and my Internet Bill of $25. I received my U-VERSE U200 for $385. they did not gave me the $20 off the package they charge me $55 on receiver activation $64 that they could not explaing but thy told that it was for others incurred charges, $149 for connection of phone that I did not requested that I have a phone for years but they mess up. and charge me for the luxury packege of the phone of 5 days.
