Is Your Cell Phone Giving You Brain Cancer? State Lawmakers Consider Warning Stickers

It has long been suspected that holding a cell phone up to your ear exposes you to radio waves which may be linked to brain cancer. As many as 300 million Americans regularly use cell phones, meaning millions of people may be at increased risks of being stricken with deadly cancers from using the handy devices.

Now, lawmakers in Maine are poised to become the first in the nation to require cell phones to carry warning stickers to caution users of the possible risks of brain cancer. A Maine state legislator plans to introduce a new law in her state and a similar movement also is afoot in San Francisco.

Since the electromagnetic waves are emitted from cell phones in such low levels, it is generally believed that long-term, prolonged use of the devices is required to develop brain cancer. Cell phones have only been widely used in the United States for about the past 15 years, so it may be too early to see the real health consequences caused by the devices.

Also, the cell phone industry has been criticized by some for dragging its feet on research into the possible link between its products and brain cancer in cell phone users.

So, are we looking at a looming tidal wave of brain cancer victims linked to use of cell phones? Only time will tell.

I noticed a “black” spot on the side of my head recently. I have a Sprint cell phone. I use it but not to the extreme. 732 408 1198

I would not be surprised. radio waves from space do damage if it were not for the ozone so putting them up to your ears24/7 it could be very possible break out the monkeys and tie a phoe to their head and watcjh what happens. I was a biology major and am now a bone cancer patient survivor with chondrosarco and lost mileum and pelvis + othe stuf to the cancer scurg. More and more are being tested positive for it

For sure– And, cell/mobile phones should be padded with some type of thick, safe auditory-ear noise/emission proof, Nasa-space materials that will prevent the interference of audio and electrical elements from penetrating the ear canal. Thanks-

I don,t think cell phones are any worst then the air we breath, or some of the food or drink we put into our bodies. Or some of the chemicals we use around our houses. You would have us to believe that everything we touch, feel, breath. see, or use is bad for our health. And you are probably right.

This is more scare tactics from the litigation wing of the legal industry. There is NO eveidence of any damage from cell phones – none. There have been numerous studies none of which have found any hazard from cell phone usage. There are no radio waves from space, there is ionizing radiation, but that is a vastly different thing. All of us who watch color TV and use any number of electric machines are bathed by RF waves all day, and small amounts of ionizizng radiation from the sun and stars.

This nonsense is from the same people that put Dow Corning out of business based on the bogus claim of cancer from silicone breast implants. Dow Corning was litigated out of business, but not before it was finally determined that there was no link between silicone implants and cancer – and not before another legitimate US business went down the tubes. The only way these shysters succeed is because the average American is so poorly educated that they don’t understand much science to begin with so they easily fall prey to bogus claims from the “fear wing” of the science establishment. The recent exposure of the global warming fraud ought to be a wake up call to all those who can think fro themselves, not just the suckers.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotics (which work like chemo), open the door to cancer, by damaging DNA. Look it up. Search the “toxicity of fluoroquinolones” (Ciprofloxacin/CIPRO, Levofloxacin/LEVAQUIN, Moxifloxacin/AVELOX and others of this toxic class of antibiotic. Forget the cell phone, check the ANTIBIOTICS you are taking. How many of you know that the FDA had to be SUED by PUBLIC CITIZEN to include a BLACK-BOX WARNING on the Fluoroquinolones, and that warning barely scratches the surface?!! The way I see it,is this…..Too much of anything is no good, to begin with. We are all aware of this old saying. With moderate use of our cell phones, I really don’t believe we have anything to worry about. I do believe the idea to be true, that the radiation from cell phones can cause cancer, however, it isn’t any different than standing in front of your microwave oven. Those who are somewhat health conscious, should use their cell phones moderately. I look at it this way, if someone says something might have potential to harm me, I am not going to make it a habit of abuse. Hey, we did fine for years, without cell phones to begin with, how necessary are they really?

I think everything will kill us off sooner or later..don’t microwave plastic, don’t drink plastic water bottles after being let out in the heat, don’t eat too much sugar, don’t get vaccinations, don’t smoke, don’t watch too much tv, don’t use cell phones! People are going to become so paranoid they won’t know what to do. Life is short, live it to the fullest. God has a plan for us all. We just have to pray and believe. The federal reserve is what controls us all anyway and we are just mere sheep. There is nothing we can do. Just eat, drink, be merry! God Bless!
