A team of healthcare professionals in the U.S. has come up with a 58-point action plan to curb the growing problem of childhood obesity.
I don’t think the government can impress on the population health eating habits by taxing fast foods or keeping unhealthy food restaurants away from schools. Healthiness begins in the home with education from mom and dad. I think if one begins with a basic appreciation for the body that God gave us, the desire to keep healthy will follow.
Also, it’s not all what you eat. If parents would prevent kids from watching so much TV, kids would be more active. It’s the parent’s fault if the kid is fat. Parents should be playing with their kids, instead of letting the TV raise them.
